Does Anyone Still Post on the Lucky Forum?

Oh gosh, no. Ever since the whole Snarky/MAP craziness and all the bashing of former FHer's on the Lucky forum, I have no desire to go near that place. This forum is so much better!!!! And it's not just about fashion, there are so many other great topics on this forum.

Fill me in NylaBelle - I was never on FH, and I don't now what snarky/map craziness you're talking about, but I'm curious! I only joined this forum in March. I love the girls here, and it seems like the girls on Lucky tear eachother down and are nasty to one another. I used to post there, but didn't like the vibe.

shopchicago, back on fh (fashionhag), where most of us were before stylethread started up, there was a very active and seemingly sweet poster named MsAustinPrincess, MAP for short. Apparently, she was using an alias, snarky, on the lucky forum to post insults about certain girls on the fh forum. So then she was banned from fh and people wanted to know why she was banned and then the owner of fh (Irene) told us that MAP was snarky and that's why she was banned. so that's the back story on that.

I personally never posted on lucky to begin w/ but I think I read about fh on it, went to fh, started posting, Irene shut down fh, dc and detroit were kind enough to start up stylethread and i've been here ever since. so anyway, to answer your question, no i don't post on lucky, or any other site for that matter, except for stylethread.

OMG! MAP was Snarky!!!!!!!!! i had no idea! and all those times we were nice to her and helped her find stuff! grrrr!

as for lucky, i stopped posting there when FH was born! i think b/c there are no monitors, that board can get downright mean and rude!

I used to post on Lucky but not anymore. These girls are soooo much nicer and its easier because you don't have to click on links to see pictures. This forums is so much more organized and well monitored!

Hell NO! I used to post there a lot, but by the time Irene started FH, I was very rarely posting at Lucky. It just got so nasty! I remember you could tell when school was not in session and the kids were posting. It got soooo bad. Remember CHANEL? She used to post a lot and then just dissappeared. Oh, and about Snarky. I remember Irene saying that MAP was Snarky, but I think there were a few "Snarkys" on the board before they had registration. Seemed like people used "Snarky" as their name when they wanted to say something nasty. I'm sure most of the snarky postings were MAP, though.

I used to post on Lucky, but this forum is so much more helpful. I think by the time I really started on Lucky FH was nearly shut down - lots of people were asking what happened to it & when I tried to find it to see what it was it was gone.

This forum is WAY easier to navigate & I really hate to say this, but those girls are mostly amateurs next to the members here! That is NOT to bash people who post on both, but the last few times I went over there to read, they were still asking if ponchos were still in.

I just felt like everyone kept asking the same questions over & over - DRIVES ME NUTS. We have none of that here & I really don't know why. I guess our members are really active & see the answers to their questions before they ask?

I also like that we can talk about other stuff here & people don't just hop on to advertise.

Laken1, it seems like a few years ago on Lucky every other question was "What kind of lip gloss does J.Lo wear?". That was so annoying.

I still post on Lucky. I started when "Snarky" was causing all that trouble and thought it was a horrible place. By the time I heard about FH, it was shut down already. I just joined ST a few months ago and I like it better, but there are still a few girls from Lucky whose opinions I like to get.

Hmmm, that makes me realize that I rarely start a thread on ST. I should start posting my questions here as well. There are so many more people on ST and you all have great fashion senses.

If you guys stop by Lucky, you'll see that it's not so bad anymore. Of course it's still hard to navigate, but people are rather helpful. I go there when I'm bored sometimes.

I just went over there. MUCH calmer now that there are no anonymous posts. Guess the riff-raff got scared off once they made you register. They should have done it long before they did. It's user-friendly like this one is, but I might have to check it out every once in awhile!

Agreed!That poncho thing was getting old along with other things!I on occassion will read the forum.But it's been months since my last post.That snarky was nuttier than a fruitcake!

I never posted on Lucky because of the craziness but as soon as FH was started, I never went back to Lucky. I was gone from FH for about 6 months and never knew about the the whole MAP being snarky buisness. Glad I missed all that drama.

Yuck. Never! It's so boring there. I hate how it is set up. I also have an emotional attachment to this place: I care what people here have to say because I have gotten to know so many of them through their posts. You really get to know what people's areas of expertise are and I even hope certain people will respond when I post on a topic I think they know a lot about. Lucky just feels anonymous and random, even though you have to register now.

I still stop in, but not so much. Mostly to see what's new there. There's s poster on there I'm not loving too much. She is very uppity and basically likes to let everyone know that only top designers that are way out of everyone's price range are the only types of clothing worth the money. My guess is that she's a fashion student somewhere that only spews what her professors tell her. No mind of her own, and it's getting old.

I check it occasionally, especially if I saw something neat in Lucky. I am glad the forum over there has changed, snarky and some other anonymous posters over there were hateful bitches.
