I have used MAC blot powder for several years. It has not seemed to make my pores larger. But, since your skin is more oily since moving, it could be that the oil is building in your pores and making them look larger since they are clogged.

If that is the case, you may try a facial brush with your favorite cleanser. I use a dermalogica facial brush and I love it. The bristles are so soft, and it dries really fast so I don't feel like any bacteria builds up on it. I feel like my pores are much more clear when I use it.

Also, Origins Active Charcoal mask works wonders. I was introduced to it from the girls on this site, and it really is amazing at sucking the crap from your pores. Nearly any girl on this site would attest to that.

Have you tried blotting papers? Sephora makes them in a little roll, and you can tear off as much or as little as you need, but lots of people make them now. That may be an alternative if you think the powder really is causing it.

So, I say keep using the powder since you're happy with the results or try the papers, and try adding something new to your skin care repitoire.

I just started using MAC blot and I love it because it really helps me from looking oily and shiny. I have been breaking out more recently but I was thinking it has more to do with taking myself off birth control and right now I'm near my period and I always break out a little around then. I'll pay more attention and see if the breaking out occurs more when I'm not about to start my period. But so far I really like the blot.
