coach bag? (or other basic bag)
Permalink Closed

I need a basic black bag in the $200-300 range. I've assumed that Coach is the way to go, but are there better ones for about the same? I'd appreciate pictures.
I need something big - for textbooks and other various stuff. What Coach calls 'diaper bags' seem like the right kind of size and style - hopefully 2 handles, long enough to put on my shoulder.
I've noticed that a lot of the basics aren't on the Coach site - what is the best way to get them? I've seen some on ebay that I like, but since I haven't made a big purchase there, I'm a little wary. Also, does it make sense to get such a basic thing that I'll use forever second-hand? From photos it seems like a lot of stuff is barely used, but I'm never sure.
Thanks!

I would going to the coach outlet nearest you.Every outlet I've been in carries a large selection of there classics since no full price store carry them anymore. Also they have bags that you've probably forgotten the coach made (messenger bags, duffles, etc).

There's nothing with getting it secondhand if you'll use it forever,ˇ@what difference will it make?

What about Micheal Kors I love his bags. I really like this one I'm not sure if it is big enough.

I like coach but depending on the bag they seem so boring, the only stand out feature is the logos. They do provide a clasic well made basic design and could be good for a staple but I think you could find something classic and a little more stylish. If you love the coach go for it. I have used ebay for coach not all are used but they usually come from the outlet stores if you have one close it is worth the trip to save the money.

I third finding a Coach outlet.  I was just at one last weekend and they had a ton of great bags that sound like what you want.
