I would like to think your experience is the exception not the norm. I have had pretty good luck with searches in my local store. Just a couple of weeks ago I had them track down a skirt that had been around awhile. It showed up at my house within a few days. Have you tried talking to the manager at your local store?

haha, i did and I got 4 pairs of the same pants. I had to return all of them! Ugh. But at least they found them, haha. The store requests are better for items that aren't almost sold out in all the stores- just sold out in your store.

i used to shop at the store in wayne, pa. and the ladies there are great. there's a couple of "older" ladies who always used to help me and placed orders. i think it just has to do with the store. anyone who has worked in retail can tell you that unfortunately, the same company can provide vastly different service depending on which store you go to.

maybe try calling the wayne store? i can't remember the ladies name, or if she is even still working there. but they have a special person designated to do requests. also, they told me one time that one of their stores in CT. ALWAYS has items, so they call them first. HTH.
