Thoughts on this anthro skirt
Permalink Closed

Ladies, I went & tried this on over the weekend & I really like it. My question is this: I won't get a TON of wear out of it just this summer. I feel like this is one of those things that if I wear it next summer will it be like "that girl has on that skirt from anthro last year" - how do you feel about this? I don't want to pay even $60 sales price to wear it a few times......but isn't that the case with any of the unique anthro items, and isn't that the point of getting something funky & cool? I know some of you shop there full price to get the best stuff, how do you justify paying $120 for a skirt that you only wear for one season? Or do you carry it from year to year & just not worry about how old it is?

I do not buy into the whole one season thing on individual items.  If I own something I love, and still feel great in it, I will wear it for years.  I don't think that skirt screams "spring 05" like a head to toe boho thing might.  As long as you don't think you will be tired of it, I say it would be a good buy.

IMO Anthro stuff is generally distinctive but timeless (or at least generally more timeless than other places). Like ejc423 said, you'd be able to wear that skirt for a long time. I've only started shopping there recently, but I'm not going to put away my favorite blazer just because it's from last season.

Thanks ladies, that's what I thought too, more so for "plain" and classic items though. This will be my first Anthro purchase & I guess I need reassurance to go outside my practical wardrobe - This is much more fun!!! I'm just such a bargain shopper & $60 is a lot for me to pay for a skirt, but I'll pay $150 for shoes and not blink an eye. I don't know what's wrong with me!!!!
