jacL - How Did the Move Go?

Just wondering how your big move to Chicago went?  I was thinking of you since you're moving to my neighborhood and I know you were feeling nervous.  Let us know how you did

Hi!!!  Thanks so much for asking...the move went just fine even though my movers didn't come til the next day (they spoke to me about it so it wasn't a surprise or anything)... It is really different living in a big city (Madison is a really small city), but I will like it.  Now I have to start worrying about my new job that I start tomorrow...

ShopChicago33:  I have sent you a PM.

jacL- i just caught up, and read that you are living in lakeview.  where in lakeview?  that's the area that i live in too. i live on cornelia between clark and southport.  you'll love it!!!  don't hesitate to ask me (or any other chicago girls) questions, especially about the el, etc....

you're going to love the city and in about a month (probably less) it will be even more managable.   i moved here about a year ago, and i found the best way to navigate is to just get on a bike, or walk around the city and get lost, that's what i did.  and whenever i got bored, or sick of walking around, i popped into a shop.  you'll love chicago shopping.  once you get settled, you'll have to check it out.  have fun!!!

That is so funny--I have already gotten lost twice and just went into a shop because I was sick of walking aimlessly.  Shopping really helps to calm the nerves!
