ok, this is just weird, sorry i didn't inlude a link to the story as many of u may not have heard about it, but there was this shooting in thousand oaks, ca where i went to high school and two of the victims are the parents of a guy i went to junior high with.  it was so sad, last night i was watching the news & i heard the last name & i knew it was his parents.  his mother passed away & his dad is critically injured.  also, it makes you think since thousand oaks is always either 1 or 2 (tied w/ simi valley) for safest city over 100,000 people in the nation.

Just curious, were they shot by a stranger or someone they knew? What was the motive?

from what i understand they knew eachother.  several people were shot, one of which was the shooter's former attorney, but none of the reports i read give the name of the attorney.  i think the parents of the guy i went to school with were neighbors of the shooter & the shooting happened in their front yard.  i have yet hear of a motive.
