My extreme makeover -- a big post!

So...it's been a month and we have done SO much work on our house! Thought you guys would like to see the before/after pics. We still have a lot left to do, but I am amazed at how different it looks!


Living & dining rooms: repainted, added chair rail, changed all light fixtures.

 Our to-do list for the next 1-2 months:


-kitchen -- our biggest project. Here's what it looks like now: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v613/halleybird/house018.jpg  We are replacing the ugly white countertops with granite, and the light-oak cabinets are getting replaced with raised-panel cherry cabinets with silver handles. We are also increasing the size of the island and moving it out about 1 foot. SOMEDAY we will replace the oven & dishwasher with stainless steel, but that's probably 1-2 years down the road.

 I purposefully didn't take pics of the master bedroom -- it is a HUGE room and right now, all we have is a bed and an entertainment center. We are getting bedroom furniture after Christmas.
