for the week--

they have lots of activities---hikes, yoga, swimming, kayaking, weight room, exercise classes

spa treatments---manis, pedis, facials, massage, hot stone treatments, wraps, etc.

and gourmet food but low calorie--1200-1500 calories a day.

(if you like the food -- you can get the recipes)

we are going in July.  Just wondering what experiences you guys might have had at one.

Yes--my mom and I try to go to Lake Austin Inn or Canyon Ranch in Arizona every yr.  There are so many things to do you will never get bored.  We went on hikes during the morning and then tried different exercise classes.  We would always schedule our spa treatment in the afternoon, as a way to relax after we got our cardio in.  There are interesting lectures and even crafts you can do as well at some of these spas.  YOu can relax by the pool in between activities.  The food was always really good, esp for being low fat, low-carb, etc.  We would always lose wait there.  It's fun to buy cookbooks too, if they sell them, so you can make some of the dishes at home.  Where are you going?

I've been to the Oaks in Ojai several times. It's perfect for me because you can do as much or as little as you want. I haven't been for about 5 years, but the last time I was there they had upgraded quite a bit.

This is a great way to relax and pamper yourself, as well as get yourself back on track re diet and exercise.
