I quit all the fashion glossies awhile back. I decided to take back the power of my self-image and stop letting the media dictate who or what I find beautiful. (Sounds ranty but it's not. I just got sick of looking like stick thin women and feeling bad because I didn't look like them.)

But I buy regularly: Bitch, Bust, and Budget Living (my 3 Bs!) I'll occasionally flip through some of the home mags if I'm looking for ideas on decorating. And I'm definitely tempted to buy the gossip rags but I usually just flip through them in line at the grocery store and put them back.

I used to, no lie, have an obsession with buying Soap Opera Digest. I would read it cover to cover and try and figure out who the gossip was about, etc. Luckily, I've outgrown my soap opera phase (once I got out of college and no longer had daytime tv hours!).

the only mags i currently subscribe to are women's wear daily and the economist. but i frequently buy teen vogue, elle girl, budget living and readymade at the news stand. i occasionally buy lucky, harpers and elle. i haven't been interested in what vogue has had to offer for a long time. all the fashion spreads/etc seem stale. also i've been really annoyed how they try to parlay their spreads as to "inspiring" street wear. ie, they will show a celebrity wearing a runway look, then show their spread and with the word "inspiration" above it. get a clue.

I subscribe to:

Glamour, Marie Claire, Shop, Etc. (not really feeling it either, will more than likely let my subscription expire - LOL), I let my Lucky expire, because I'd see it at the store BEFORE it made it to my mailbox, so now I pick it up every month from the store. LOL I got tired of just reading sex articles in Cosmo. LOL

Sometimes I pick up (like most of you):

In Touch, US Weekly, In Style, Cargo (for the beau), Elle, and a couple more.
