I know this was posted by Smash a while back, but does anyone have any more reviews on the product? I am wondering if it is worth the money- I can get it for $60.
I bought it and use it occassionally. It does work well, and it does not hurt my gums. The reason I don't use it more often (daily, as you're supose to) is that it takes too much time to apply. I know that sounds weird, but I use the Crest Whitestrips, and I just put them on before I step into the shower, and while I'm washing up the strips do their thing. I guess it's a matter of getting into a habit, but it just doesn't occur to me to use GoSmile in the morning before I shower, brush teeth, etc. So, whitestrips work for me, but the product GoSmile does work, I just don't find it as convinient.
Sorry if I'm rambling. HTH

he made me a fitted mouth guard (any dentist can do that during a normal visit and i'm guessing it can't cost too much) for my top teeth only (since you can't see my bottom teeth when i smile).
i use opalesence (about one syringe lasts 3-4 whitenings). i've seen the syringes on ebay for $15 for a pack of 4 (or you could get them from your dentist, but he might charge a ton) i would totally buy it on ebay because there's almost no way you can put another product in the syringe.
basically you just sleep with it on overnight. (i go out an run errands, that i'm not talking to people a lot (groceries, shopping, etc...) i'll use it like three times a week for the first week and then you need sunglasses to look at me. after that i maintain it MAYBE once a week. you just need that initial batch of repeated whitening. people ALWAYS stop me and compliment my teeth (kinda weird)
the key is with any whitener, not to put too much where it overlaps your gums. make sure you only use enough to cover your teeth!
i love opalesence!

I love opalesence.... unfortunately, no dentist in the family , but I think it's really worth the price. Getting the fitted mouth guard thing done was actually the most expensive thing. I got mine done a couple of years ago and I want to say it was like $250 or so (for both top and bottom... if you only want one, my dentist charges half price). And you can keep it for like ever. The opalesence is actually pretty cheap (at least at my dentist). A pack of four syringes is either $20 or $25 (can't remember... bought a big supply like six months ago!). So, if you have a dentist near you who sells it for a reasonable price, it's probably about the same as ebay when you factor in shipping charges.
I agree with shopgirl82 about being careful about where it overlaps with gums, but like she said, that's totally true with any whitener. The dental assistant tells me she sees patients who come in, totally obsessed with whitening, and they are literally wearing away their gums. Also, like shopgirl says, you really don't need to do it that often... I find if I do it more than three times in a row, my teeth feel a little sensitive. Also, don't know if this is a concern for you, but I have one tooth bonded, which makes it more susceptible to staining, and this really works on that too and doesn't seem to corrode the bonding or anything.
