Sorry, but I agree with honey. I think she looks great in the second pic.

how in heck do you lose that much weight so quickly? is it the white powder diet or the finger down throat treatment? i don't mean to make light of eating disorders, but i am flummoxed by the rapid about of weight she has lost.

This is my concern too.  Which is why I cannot agree that she looks great.  No matter how she looks, she has lost weight TOO quickly for it to have been healthy.  And I think it shows on her face.

I can't believe that anyone on here actually thinks she looks "healthy" or "normal" in that second picture! No wonder our society has so many problems with eating disorders. She has gone from being a healthy, curvaceous girl, to a stick. In a short period of time. How is that normal or healthy? And saying that she looks like "any other young actress" doesn't mean that's RIGHT! That just means that our society is incredibly screwed up. I'm not saying we should all be fat, or even pudgy. Everyone should be at a healthy weight and size. I'm so sad to see that everyone on here apparently thinks that being that skinny and unhealthy is what it takes to be considered beautiful and successful.

gingembre1, i don't think it's fair to say everyone on here is saying you have to be super thin to be considered successful.  there have been posts on both sides, some thinking she looks good now and others saying she looked better before.

While I do think she looked better before her weight loss (though maybe not in that particular pic), I think we should be very careful about saying that her body in the second photo is unattractive. A lot of people (on this forum, even) look like that in a bathing suit and are not at all unhealthy.

If she is pressured by Hollywood, then I feel bad for her, but I don't think I am fit to judge her health.

i agree with scarlett and halleybird.  i also think that "beauty" and "healthy" are in the eye of the beholder.  So if someone thinks the second picture is as healthy as the first, they shouldn't be judged for their opinion.  to me, calling someone "too skinny" is just as wrong as calling someone "fat."  it's still an insult and it still sucks.  poor lindsay, it seems like her body has been the subject of scrutiny since she reached puberty--when she weighed more, we were convinced her boobs were fake, now that she weighs less, we're convinced she's anorexic (or on coke).  it must be hard to be her sometimes.

There is a HUGE difference between healthy skinny and unhealthy skinny. Nowhere in my post did I say that all skinny girls must be coke addicts or anorexic. But Lohan has the look of someone who is anorexic/speed addict/coke addict. I have seen enough of the first 2 to know when someone is unhealthily skinny. I don't care if you think she looks good, but can you honestly say that losing that much weight in such a short period of time is healthy? Whether it was b/c of stress, anorexia, bulimia, speed, or coke, it is unhealthy.
If you're skinny, more power to you. You can probably wear a lot of clothes that I only wish I could wear. But I just hope that you either have a naturally high metabolism, and you can eat lots and lots of whatever you want, or you lost the weight very slowly and gradually. It's all about being healthy. Studies have been done on both sides of the spectrum...being too skinny has its health risks, just as being overweight has its health risks.

I think she looks okay in the 2nd picture. I will agree that rapid weight loss, whatever the reason, is unhealthy.  I thought she might be using coke, but it might be more complex than that, this is a very young celebrity who has been through some serious pressure for her age, with the stuff with her dad, her tabloid rumors about her boobs and Hilary Duff, a handful of movies, a record....and she's been driven hard since she was a child!

Maybe the rapid weight change is from stress.  When I was around 22-23, I went through some serious stress over a boy and I went from 111 lbs to about 97 lbs in just a couple months (14 lbs is a lot to lose for a littler girl).  I partied a lot then only on weekends and I had a day job plus worked most nights as a waitress....I did not have a drug addiction (although I was a shameful user on occasion and that was bad for me), I was not anorexic, I was just filled with some awful toxic anxiety that left me sleepless and with little appetite at that point in my life and it took it's toll on my body.
