I really like this necklace but it is kind of pricey at $78.  The designer said she could make it for me without the birds for the same price.  I really like how it is half wood beads/half jade.  How much do you think this would cost to make?  Where could I find the supplies?

Firemountain Gems (www.firemountaingems.com) would probably have what you need.  It would probably cost (I'm guessing) about $30 (maybe up to $50 b/c of the jade beads) to make.

Definitely it would be less than that to make. Since those big round beads are 'in' right now, even a bead store might have them, and there you could get the people to help you with making it (if you haven't made stuff before).
