Anthro Purchases Review
Permalink Closed

So I finally received my Anthro purchases.  I hadn't ever purchased anything from them before since we don't have a store anywhere near so I had to make my best guess.  I'm a little disappointed, but I guess that's what I get for ordering online

Pretty IRL, but more tunic-y than it looks on the model.  Also (what I was afraid of) the straps are quite long so the sheer insets hit perfectly at nip level!   Had I seen this in a store and it had fit, I probably would have priced it out at about $30.  It's going back, though I would have kept it if it had fit.

Also pretty IRL, but thinner than I expected.  The biggest reason I'm sending this back is because of the unfinished seams - looks very Mervyn's-like.  Not worth the $38 IMO.

Does anyone know if you're able to return online purchases to the store?

Yes, you can return on-line purchase in store.  I have done it several times without a problem.

I think Anthro may be one of the toughest places to buy from on line...I think you never know until you see their things IRL, if they will work for you.  Hopefully you can get to a store soon and find some things that will better suit you.

Awww!  I'm sorry to hear that you are dissappointed.  I love Anthropologie, but I do think that it is hard to shop on their website.  Their site makes everything look so good.

As far as I know, you can return your website purchase to the store.

Can you not just pair either of them with a tank/cami underneath?  That's what I do with almost everything because it seems like everything is low/sheer.

thanks, LMonet! sorry they didn't work out for you. That's the thing about anthro... some of their stuff looks way better on the website that in real life. I was surprised to hear that that yellow blouse which looks so lovely in the pic there is not all that.
