so it's that time of the year when the sun comes out, humidity, etc....
not that i sweat anymore than the next person, but what do you girls use in the summer to prevent sweating? i tried certain dri ages ago, but i never got the shaving/certain dri timing right(didn't try too hard either). should i try again with it or what else should i try??

Definitely give the Certain Dri another go - I've had a bit of trouble coordinating the application time since I shower/shave at night, so I just put in on in the morning as soon as I get up so it has plenty of time to dry before I put on my regular deoderant and get dressed. I have the best results from it when I put it on every other day for about a week (or every day if it's very hot outside).

Be careful with this stuff. I got a little over-zealous with it before my friends summer wedding (I was a bridesmaid) and gave myself a chemical burn around the edges of my armpits I think if you are careful about the area of application, you should be fine, though
Well, it's pretty harsh stuff - as long as your skin isn't super-sensitive and you don't apply too much or too frequently to start, you should be fine.
I don't *think* it'll burn holes all the way through your pits . . .

I agree with Leah.I put it on about every 3 days.Works like a charm.Sometimes it burns for a few minutes but I grin and bear because I love the results.
yeah, i have no problems with a little pain for a lot of gain. it will be just like the duwop lip venom. it burns a little, but it looks sooo good on me!!!
thanks girls.

I have used this the past few years. It's sporadic though, because I can use it for a week or so and then I could honestly go without anti-persperant or deodorant at all for a few weeks. I don't know, maybe I sweat more at a certain hormonal point or something, but that's how it worked. I haven't used it in a while because I think my skin has gotten a lot more sensitive lately. And be warned about it--I can handle the burning pain, but it left bumps all under my arms and they kept burning and itching and took FOREVER to go away. Is that what a chemical burn is? Hmm. . .

ejc yours doesn't sound like a chemical burn, it sounds like an allergic reaction! I had a bright red rash looking spot under my arm on the skin surrounding the armpit that was super dry and painful.
It was probably my fault, though, as I was very sloppy about putting it on because I was sharing a room with 4 other bridesmaids and was a bit embarrassed to be using it!
I would use it again, though. Just be more careful
