The recent question of lovestoshop asking if we wanted to see postings from an "over 40" got me thinking. My immediate answer was "OF COURSE" & I know I always enjoy seeing everyone's pixs, but i too am guilty of not posting my outfits there.
My excuse is two fold 1) we are remodeling & right now my jewelry cabinet with full length mirror is shoved behind the 2 couches that are in my living room back to back. What a nightmare, not good planning on my part. This also means that I have no way to check my "head to toe" on the way out the door except to stand on a stool in front of my mirror bathroom, and really, ya'll don't want to see those pictures.
2) I've gained a lot of weight & think I'm fat!!! I think that's typical, and it's really kind of silly since I think everyone is so supportive & non-judgemental.
So what's YOUR excuse?
People posting feel free to shame the rest of us into joining in!

My computer at home is sooooo sloooow (thanks to some stupid virus I can't get rid of) and it takes forever to upload pictures. Also, I usually look rumpled by the afternoon when I get home and the light isn't good enough in the morning
Well, I don't have my own digital camera. When I have posted photos, it's because I used the work camera. I either had my brother take the picture at work or I borrowed and took it home and took the picture there. Because of it being a work camera, I don't want to borrow it everyday and hog it, especially if someone needs it for work and I'm only using it for personal use.
The other big reason is that my work clothes just aren't all that exciting. I have a very limited work wardrobe, so I rotate the same pieces throughout the week. I also wear almost the same outfits week to week. You guys would be seeing the same thing all the time and this would equal BORING. I'm trying to find cuter pieces for work, so I'm slowing building that wardrobe up.
My regular casual outfits I usually like, but that's usually on weekends, when I don't have the camera.
Hahaha - I was just thinking that I should explain myself, and then, Poof! Laken1 posts it!
Anyway, my reasons are threefold
1. FH took the digital camera with him to Texas. He'll be back soon, so I'll start posting again after we move.
2. I run a tight ship in the morning so I'd have to sacrifice at least more minutes of sleep to take a pic and get it all loaded/transferred/posted.
3. I am too lazy to put together outfits in advance and take pics of them all in one shot. It stretches everything out, and I end up feeling like a dweeb .
Once we move (and I'm not working and we have a full length mirror and I can add a ton of Anthro stuff to my wardrobe and I lose the last 5 lbs) I swear I'll start posting too!

I don't have my own digital camera. I could use the bf's, except he's such a mess that he lost the USB cable to connect the camera to the printer. And also, the house is disgusting b/c it still looks like a frat house (the stinking roommate is moving out June 3--finally!!!), so it's embarrassing for that to be in the background.
1. I don't have a digital camera. Plus I would probably be too lazy to upload everything anyways.
2. My outfits are not that exciting. Especially this summer, I just go to school 2 x's a week and the other days i run errads or do random stuff. So I just wear shorts and a tee.
My only full length mirror is my closet door. Unfortunately, it is in a funny location and I can't get far enough away from it to take a full lenght photo. I'd love to participate tho.
my current digital camera is crap. the pics come out really dark and blurry. i've been researching new ones, but i haven't really been able to justify the expense, since my main reason for buying one would be to post on stylethread.
I try to post, but i go through stretches where I'm too busy. Also, I only like to take pictures when its sunny outside, or else they don't come out right (they look too gray when its cloudy, and at night, the artificial lighting makes the pics look weird.) Another reason is simply that I go through phases where I don't even care what I'm wearing, so its not that I look bad per se, but I just don't really give a sh*t if I have the perfect outfit. So they tend to be boring and/or messy. That's being a student for you ..even though, as of yesterday, I'm not one anymore
My office is really conservative so my work clothes are very boring. My wardrobe for work consists of two things: black suits and beige suits. When I go out, I don't have time to take pics. But my digital camera kicks ass, so if I could stop being shy, I should post my weekend outfits.
My #1 reason is that I don't have my own digital camera, and if I did I'd probably be too lazy to upload the pics. I have to wear my work clothes (white polo and jeans) M-F so my outfits wouldn't be that exciting anyway. I might get a digital camera in the summer though, so we'll see.
I haven't posted in TS for the past month because my computer's USB ports are busted, the external card thingie is busted...meh.
I use BFs computer and the work computer to post, but I don't want to use either one for uploading pics from my camera to ST. So please tell me to stop buying clothes and put a frigging computer on my charge card!

I know I am going to feel stupid for asking this, but what is "SLR"?

I am technologically challenged, and um, don't hate me for this but I just dropped two sizes because law school is fricking stressful and NOTHING fits. I can't afford to buy more nice clothes, so I'm sort of bumming together a wardrobe from like, Express and Target. It's ok for this area, but nothing to brag about.
Okay, if I can do it you can do it! You don't even need to use a full size mirror. Set your camera on auto & stand in front of it Pretty funny the first few times, but you'll get the hang of it. None of those I'm feeling fat comments - you will all look great. I've had a blast posting pictures this week and everyone has been SO nice. I have alot of clothes (& handbags!!) but the majority of my things are not super expensive upper end designers since we have a daughter in college. I am comfortable mixing things up & am learning alot from all of you.
