remember my best friend...?

Some of you might remember about the friend I got in a pseudo-fight with a few months ago after she was horrid to me at her wedding.

We hadn't talked since her wedding in Feb...just sort of sporadically emailing here and there. I'd been thinking in the last few weeks that I really miss her, and yesterday I got a really sweet card in the mail from her congratulating us on our new house. I called her back, and we ended up talking for three hours. We both passive-agressively apologized for our passive-agressive-non-fight (gotta love female relationships).

It will take awhile before we're really close again, but I feel SO much better. Just wanted to update

All friendships have their ups and downs.  You know it is a true friendship when you can have a falling out, not talk for a few months, and then pick things right back up again.  I'm glad things worked out!  I agree with esquiress.  Maybe it was pregnancy and wedding related stress.

You must be very happy.  I wish I was as lucky.  I had a falling out with my only close guy friend a couple years ago.  It was so dumb, though, because he never told me that he thought I was letting the friendship fall away until he stopped talking to me and he and his friends started writing dumb little "away" messages about me on AIM.  Dumb!  I tried reconnecting last fall and he did the same thing, so I guess it wasn't even worth it.  I am so over it, but it was nice to have such a close guy friend since I mostly hang out with girls.

I'm glad it worked out!  It sounds like you both just needed a few months apart.

I remember how upset you were about the whole thing. Doesn't it feel so good to get things out in the open and move forward? That's how I know a true friend - if we can see the frienship through the good and bad.

I'm glad y'all have worked it out - good friends are hard to come by!

Oh, Im happy to hear that.  Sometimes me & my best friend have little tifts like this & I cant imagina why exactly- if we are "so" close ya know?  Its like- why cant we just come out & say what we feel to people who you are so close to?

My best friend & I go through this at least once a year.  Sometime w/out the more than daily phone calls usually helps us get over it.  She's kinda negative, so I dont like talking to her about guy stuff, actually- I like to vent here.  She's like, "oh he's an asshole" or something like that- but sometimes thats not what i want to hear at the moment.  Ya know?

Anyway, glad everything worked out for the best! :)
