So on Sat my friend & I are walking to our car when we are stopped by this GROUP of hot guys, (rare!).  Anyway, they invite us to this after hrs. club, we say- OK, & then I get introduced to a cousin of someone & he automatically grabs my hand & proceeds to lead me down the street.  Ok, whatever- I'll entertain this.  So then we go to this place w/a line around the bldg & they walk right up & get us all in.  We get in there, my gf & I walk to the bathroom & then come back & they are gone, so fine- we walk around.  My friends "guy" walks up & they kind of walk together hand in hand to this area & that one cousin was nowhere around, & as much as I like to hang with a couple, i decided to venture off.  So, I end up meeting this one guy whos bday it was & i hung out with him for like 20mins. or so.


I walk back when he leaves to find my friend & i see the missing cousin.  "Jessi-Ka (sound effects ladies, he says my name funny), I was looking for you."  He's cute, so i continue to entertain. Well, at the end of the night- his cousin asks for my number, to put in his phone b/c "my cousin guy" didnt have his-which apparently he did not take down correctly.  So, its like 4:30 am & he calls my gf (whos # he got from the other cousin she was talking to), she gives him my # & he calls me like 5 seconds later.  He then starts talking about all kinds of stuff, that he's a world champion martial artist, loves love & being in love, thinks Im a great girl, etc.  I, by this time am like, WTF- b/c he didnt spend anytime with me.  He asks me to go to breakfast (he lives in Dallas apparerently & is going back in the am).  Im like- call me, we'll see.  So this is where it gets even more insane.


He starts calling at 8:15.  Calls 8 times, texts twice.  "Wake up sweet, call me when you receive this."  Calls back later twice, leaves me some vm about going to eat at McDonalds, wants to see me before he leaves, thinks Im awesome.   So, I finally call him back, & he starts asking me about my beliefs, do I believe in God?  Um, why yes- I do.  Calls Monday, I dont answer.  Calls me this MORNING at what time ladies?  6:45 am,aplogizing for not being able to contact me b/c he's been really busy. . . .


I did google him to check the martial arts thing- he's telling the truth.  Do you think he took one too many to the head? ?

He sounds scary!  I would stay far far away.  Next time he calls maybe tell him you got back together with an ex, and can't talk to him anymore.

So the night was weird and there was weird number exchanges, etc. All that I could move past but the one thing that would NEVER make it in my book is someone who calls at 6:45 AM!!!! What is wrong with that guy? Never, in a million years, call me before 9:00 in the morning. I am a beautiful girl trying to make sure she doesn't have bags under her eyes from the night before and disrupting my best sleeping hours (4-7) is a big no-no. I might have to hurt someone for that kind of blasphemy.


I'll give you credit, Jess. You do have quite the penchant for falling into weird situations and meeting weird guys. I think it's a talent. At least you can say you did some interesting stuff, no?

I love that you googled him...but what's wierd is that he passed the google test...he seems like a freak! I have this one guy that I myspaced b+f w/ a couple times and then made the mistake of giving him my email addy (he was sending me some workout info) now he emails me all these crazy loooonnngg messages, crazy talk random messages about his theories on life and inpirational quotes or crazy wierd stories...he's really into working out though. Maybe they take the same protein shake or something...

What a freak!  He should have spent more time talking to you in person and less time calling you!  The outcome may have been different for him then. 


The early morning calling is just weird.  Is he just getting home at that time or is he a really early riser?  Either way, it is so rude.

Oh, & AJ this sort of applies to you.  I've let like 2 of my friends listen to his message just b/c it was SO unreal!  I had to make sure it wasnt just me.  Maybe he would have saved face if he didnt leave a message(s).  I accidentely left my phone at home today- so we'll see if he crazy called this afternoon.  :)

Jess, Esquiress and I (and sephorablue since she thought of part of the title) should use this in our book, "She just not into you at all...no really". See esquiress's post, "What do yu do when they won't take a hint?," about elevator guy if you aren't already aware of this impending publication.  LOL!

this is too funny!

I just broke up with a world martial arts champion, and this definitely sounds like the same type. Mine was just a little less obsessive, but definitely I got some too-early calls. He was - and I think any sports champ. would be - an incredible, intense person. If you can make it clear to him that you need to go "just a little" slower, I think that you could end up with a wonderful boyfriend. But I also agree with the others that this seems a little freaky - I say, give him a chance, but if he doesn't agree to and stick to what you ask, drop him.

No, I think hes a nut case.  He's continued to call me without a return phone call & leaves messages like he's sorry he's been busy & unable to reach me.  Holy cow, what does he consider persistent then??  He called again last night, or should I say thie morning at 2 am.

Yeah, sounds like he's a bit too much. I intentionally gave you the extremely optimistic perspective, because there were some things that mine did that were a little weird, but he ended up being great. But it sounds like mine had a little more sense when it comes to dating.
