Okay, I am totally embarrassed about this, but I am at wits end so I am calling on you all to help me.  Lately I have been getting the most disgusting bacne and I have know idea why or how to make it go away.  I always make sure that I rinse my back really well in the shower so that my shampoo and conditioner don't clog my pores, but it must not be working because the bacne WILL NOT go away.

UGH!  I am so frustrated!  Does anyone have any ideas?  Tips?  Cures?  HELP ME!!!

acne.org has lots of info on this. sometimes it happens to me if I don't shower after going to the gym - is there anything you're doing like that? i've heard you can use Head n Shoulders as a body wash, since it contains salicylic acid which is good for acne.

Neutrogena makes a salicylic acid body wash for body acne...maybe you could try something like that?

I just had a back facial (a backcial) last week.  She gave it a thorough cleaning, exfoliation, and treatment.  It gave me a starting point so that I could just keep up what she did for me.  It's so relaxing, and they often include a light massage with it!

At home, clean it, exfoliate it, treat and moisturize with products that contain the salicylic acid.

tHe aesthetician asked me if I have a long commute to work or if I drive a lot.  it sounded like the vibration and friction of the seat on your clothes and your clothes and your skin can cause pores or hair folicles to become upset and irritated.  Exfoliation will help release that problem.

my bacne seems to follow my bra line and the path my shampoo/conditioner travels.

When I had this problem a few years ago the Neutrogena body wash cleared it up for me.  I used it with a loofa and would let the suds stay on my back for a few minutes when showering.  You could also try their acne lotion after your shower to see if you can get the problem cleared up.

You don't go to a derm do you?  Maybe tell you regular doc of the problem and get an RX?  I put the same acne meds I use on my face on my back and it clears it right up when I have this problem.  I also 2nd the rec of the Neutorgena Acne Body wash - that's helped a ton as well.

I shower in the morning and at night and noticed that that helps me alot! I'm sure you already do this, but I shampoo, condition, and then wash my body. I also try and not let my hair touch my back after that, especially when I start to put gel and hairspray on it.

I had an issue with this a couple years ago and someone said that it might be something in my shampoo or conditioner... so I switched and it cleared up quickly. Sometimes I'll still stumble upon a new shampoo or conditioner that will break my back out. Those are the ones I donate to my husband to use...

I ditto the shampoo/conditioner. I've been doing the curly girl method, and I've found that since I stopped using pantene shampoo and conditioner, my dermatitis and breakouts have cleared dramatically...

Here is a small thing that may also help in addition to the other ladies' ideas.  Have you ever heard of a Japanese wash cloth?  You can get them at most Asian grocery stores.  The brand name of the ones I see is Salux, I think.  It is a long narrow strip of a nylon like fabric.  It is the perfect thing to use to exfoliate your back, using whatever wash you decide is best.  It costs around $4.00, and it really is the best exfoliator.  It is hard to reach all the areas to thoroughly wash your back, and this does it easily.  Using it has also helped the KP on my upper arms immensely.

After I wash and rinse my hair, I clip it up and then wash my face and use the face soap left on my hands on my back and shoulders.
