my anthro top--**good news update**

UPDATE:  I carried my package to the post office this morning to send it back.  I started thinking that there may be an anthro in Orlando next week (we are going there next week on vacation).  I checked online and sure enough, there is one 2 minutes  away from one of the attractions we are going to.  Well, I hauled myself back to the post office, praying all the way they would give me back my package.  They did with no trouble whatsoever.  Now I can return it in Orlando next week and not have to wait on them to process the return through mail.  It will also be my first trip to an anthro--unfortunately, I have no money to spend.

marina tee  It came in today and it is too small.  I ordered a medium which is what I always wear.  I am just going to exchange it (and lose $5.95 in the process).  Oh, well.

Does their sizing in their tees run small?

Oh, no!  That sucks Meow.  I think their sizing varies b/c the carry all different brands.

I just wanted to make a suggest.  If you really love the top, I would place a separate order for the new size and just return this one.  At the beginning of April I sent something back to Anthro as an exchange, it has been 6 weeks and my new size still hasn't arrived.  I finally got an email today basically saying that they sold out of my size before they could process the exchange.  I'm so annoyed...it was a sweater that I *really* wanted.

My experiece has been that their tees run tts, maybe this one doesn't.  I'm sorry, I know you were pretty excited about this top.

Oh no Meow, I'm sad for you.  No Anthro purchase should be disappointing.

Meow, do you remember what brand that top is?  Some of the brands they carry run a little clingier than I like (e.g. velvet).  I can get my size and it fits like it was meant to, but tighter than I think is work-appropriate.  Maybe that was the problem?  I am sorry it wasn't perfect!

I've ordered a top from Anthro in size medium and its a little too big on me, and I usually wear a large in tops.

That is a good suggestion.  I would be CRAZY after 6 weeks.  I am just going to return it.  It is really beautiful.  The only thing I hate is that I will have to pay shipping again.  Oh, well,  those are the perils of online shopping.

Sorry about the fit, meow. I always have that happen to me.

You can do an exchange by phone.  They will charge your credit card the cost of the item, but waive shipping fees.  When they receive your return, you get your credit.  Just a heads up on their returns: they take about three weeks in my experience to process your return.  If things are really busy up to four weeks.  That's probably why it's not a good idea to handle a return on their mail order form.

Thanks.  What I have finally decided to do is to just return it and not exchange.  I found this wrap sweater at BR on sale that I had looked at before I ordered the anthro tee.  Since I am just returning the tee now and not exchanging, is there any way to get them to process it more quickly--maybe call them and tell them I am returning it--probably not, huh?

No.  They are just really slow.  I have complained in the past, but it didn't help.  Also, they really stink at doing returns.  Three times in the past year+ they have not indicated the proper items as returned.  At least you are only sending this one item, so there shouldn't be any problems.

That's cool about your update.  Wow, I can't believe the post office gave you your package back after you had already officially mailed it.  Let us know about your anthro trip.

Yeah, there is an Anthro at Millenia in Orlando. It's a nice one, too :)

I might be at Millenia next week sometime also, I need to get to Urban Outfitters for some new t-shirts.

I too am headed to Millenia next weekend after finals!  OT, but wouldn't it be weird if we all saw each other but didn't know it was each other?
