Outfit challenge for tonight!
Permalink Closed

Ok, so tonight I'm taking my son to a Plays in the Park show...this is the theatre group I was very active in years ago.  There's a pretty good chance I'll be running into old aquaintances, and more than a few exes.  And I'm at a complete loss on what to wear.
It's outdoors, at night, seating on the grass or wooden steps (we'll bring a blanket).
After everything that's been going on lately I just want to go, enjoy the show and have fun...but I need to feel confident that I look good and not as though 'woah, ten years...what happened to you?'...
And suggestions?  Inspirations?
TIA!

um, I don't think anyone will say that about you, regardless of what you wear!

do you have a maxi dress? that would be stylish and comfortable...

I have no maxi dresses... :(
I can't figure out if I should build an outfit around a pair of shorts...or go with jeans, or wear a casual dress.
Ack!

My first reaction was your favorite pair of jeans and a cute non-t-shirt top. A sundress could be good, but if you're sitting on the grass it may be a pain to constantly make sure that you're not flashing anyone!

Since it's for tonight, you need something you already know works.  I went back through some old threadsyle posts.  Here's my favorite.

Classy yet comfortable.  If you have a darker pair of jeans, it might look dressier for night?

I would definitely go with jeans, it's just going to be more comfortable sitting on either grass or wood seats. And since you look so great in jeans, that's even better!

I wouldn't worry so much, you look great!!!! I'd say jeans bc of the seating situation but I really think you look great in all your threadstyle outfits.
