FH is flying to Denver on the 20th to do a working interview and meet all the important dept. people.  He spoke with them on the phone and said he really clicked with everyone - so far we've heard "If we decide to hire a student, you're it!" (later FH's professor spoke with them and relayed to us that they had indeed decided to hire a student, hush hush).  The lab director also told him that when he got there she would give him a map and highlight areas that were good/bad to live in. 

We are still holding our proverbial breath, as we haven't heard an official "You've got the job!".  It sounds to me like they're just holding out in case he turns out to be a goob in person ! 

Any way you crack it though, I get to quit work in exactly 1 month and we'll be moving shortly thereafter.  Chances look pretty promising for Denver right now, so keep your fingers crossed!  FH is under strict orders to call me as soon as Denver calls him, so I will make sure to post as soon as he calls me .
