For work clothes. I dream of wearing all those cute suits by Tahari and others that I see at Filene's Basement that are so cute but since I am forced to wear ugly clothes to work since they all get ruined. I would look there. I also really like J.Crew's suits and the way that they put things together. Maybe you could start by adding some fun tops and accessories to you suits now.

It really depends on price points, budget, and style (conservative?). I used to sell suits so yeah, Taharis and Theory are really nice but also quite expensive.

If you are just starting out, try Zara's, Express, Banana Republic, and Loehamanns's for suits that you can spice up with a little kick. I got a really cute Kay Unger suit at Loehamann's for $200.I lover her suits - they have something a little extra in the details to make it more creative and distinctive!

Accessories you can pretty much find everywhere unless you get to be specific. I find Marshalls has a good selection of nice handbags & totes. A little different with cool details and many italian bags.

Accessories - have you tried a cool scarf (neck, on handle of a bag, as a headband).

To be honest, I would wait and see what the other people at your workplace are wearing. As an engineer, you will want to avoid being too "cute" or too fashionable, or, sadly, the other engineers won't take you as seriously. It sounds like you have enough suits and things that you can probably get by with your existing wardrobe for a few weeks.

When you begin, I'd dress on the more formal side - always a suit for the first day, and then moderate as you see what others wear. Stick with solid colors and no frilly or beady stuff for a while. If it turns out to be a jeans-and-polo shirt kind of place, you can adjust to pants and cute tops, and blazers will help people see you as responsible.
