What do you think of this (non) wedding suit?

Ok, ladies, after taking a few days off, I looked around again for something to wear to my City Hall wedding (probably within 2 weeks if all goes well).
What do you think of this suit?

$168

Adorable and totally you!  And I can even see you being able to use the blazer with other pants/skirts.

I like it and I think it would work well for your wedding.  Plus its very springy/summery.  It looks very flattering on the manequin.

Me too, I agree. And I think the jacket can be used with a ton of stuff you already have drew to make some great outfits!

I'm going to be the odd one out-I'm just not liking the idea of a suit.  Are you leaning towards a suit for more economical reasons, such as being able to wear it to work also?  If not, I would go with something a bit softer & feminine.  While it is a pretty suit, it just doesn't seem to have that "zing" your wedding day warrants.  But again that is just me, I know a suit can make you feel very put together and easy to work with.

I'm glad most of you think the suit will work for me.  I went ahead and ordered it, but I don't know how the sizing runs, and neither did the customer service rep's so I will just have to cross my fingers.  They start at 6 and go up from there, so it's very different sizing than I am used to; if it doesn't fit I will just size up (or return it if I don't like it).

fairlight, I looked at a lot of dresses and suits and I think this will be "zing" enough for me.  I'm keeping it simple.  So simple in fact, I was this close to just wearing something I already have.  Thanks for the concern, though.

Love it! I have a vaguely similar suit I bought a few years ago - it's black linen, with butterflies and flowers embroidered on it, and I always love wearing it.

I think the pink-and-flowers is perfect for a wedding!

Drew, I hope it fits, and not to rain on your parade but in my experience suits that start at 4 or 6 are always too big for me, and I think we are similar sizes.  Let us know how it goes (crossing fingers for you!)

You, rain-on-my-parade-r!  J/k!  I think we are similar too.  I have hope because I once bought an item from Australian designer, Zimmerman, and he starts at a six.  It worked out fine (fit perfect, actually), so I pray this will be similar, but if it's "women's" sizing, I am probably up the creek without a paddle, because I definately don't have a womanly body (hips?  Oh, hi-ips, where are you?)

I hate to rain on your parade too...but an Aussie 6 usually is a US 0/2.

Very cute! This one does speak to me in a really classic chic way to wear to a wedding at city hall....
so I want to more details on this. I searched for your "secret" post and I couldn't find it. I hope that it fits and you have a lovely wedding!

I think it's perfect and it suits you very well! I was hoping you'd pick a suit. There's something about cream-colored suits that makes me think of a really sweet City Hall wedding.
