i have a 42 inch flat screen TV of butheads, that he wants back...  i really want to sell or pawn it or somthing...

should i ?

is that bad?

i could care less if (i will) i piss him off.

would i go to ex girlfriend hell?

i have always told him, i'm not the crazy stalker kind of girl, but selling a tv sounds more fun.

Hmmm.... is it really his? Or is it one of those "it's kinda his but it's kinda ours" things? Because if it's kinda "ours," then it's partly yours and screw him.

He took your heart and all you get is a lousy flat screen tv? Please. Doesn't even come close to paying you back.

All that said, if it's his, you know you have to give it back, right?

hmm if you are the one that broke up with him and he paid for it you really should give it back.  But selling it does sound like fun.  Its up to you.  The right thing is to let him get it back.

It *would* be great to sell it. I would give it back, but sometimes the right thing is just NOT fun. If you sell it you would not be a "stalker" type of ex, a little bit of "psycho ex-girlfriend"? maybe. But that's not always a bad thing...I don't think at least.

Hmmm, maybe there is a candle wax/nailpolish/sticky soda spill in your future . . .

I'd tell him the TV broke the day after he moved out, muahaha.  Seriously, why is he even asking for it?  My ex left absolutely everything he didn't take with him the day he moved out.  Then again, that was probably out of fear, ha!

You should at least make it a little difficult for him to get it back ;)

Tempting for sure, but if you want a cleaner break from him, you should just give it back.

didn't you guys break up like a while ago?  why is he asking for it now after so long (month or so?!)  i would do one of two evil things:

1) tell him you got rid of it after he took so long to ask for it

2) put girly stickers all over it like "princess" etc....

hehehe devilish:

muah ha ha ha- {rubs hands together}.  This happened with the ex I lived with once upon a time ago. . He left his dvd player (his technically b/c he bought it on his credit card, but he put stuff on my credit card, so I thought it was even-ish.)  ANYWAY- when he left our place, he wanted it back eventually, but I had grown accustomed to having this great new technology (this was a while back obviously).  When he called, I told him that I had pawned it to help out with the rent.  He was pissed, but hey- $hit happens.  ONLY, he laughed last b/c he happened to still be on the lease & one day he gained some brains, went to the leasing office- got the key, & came into the place & took his DVD & movies (and mine).  *Moral of the story* if you are going to keep it, make sure he cant get it back.

I so felt good about keeping the dvd player, even if it was temporary. . .

this totally reminds me of that great Shedaisy song, "Little Goodbyes"... she's moving out and the chorus has lyrics like "loaded up the TV in the back or my car/ have fun watching the VCR" and "took your favorite dodgers hat; left the litter, but I took the cat." So great.

Selling it sounds like fun? Remind me not to get on your bad side....... ever. The mature thing would be to give it back. You know how us guys can be when it comes to our toys. But then again, if he did you wrong... it's fair game. Send him the remote with a ransom note or something, follow it up with a cut power cord from some random brokern appliance you know really mess with him.

once, when I was 21, a guy broke up with me because I didn't give him enough attention.  My ego was bruised.  He had left his 7-iron (from his golf clubs) in my car from a month or so before and we lived in different states so he said I could just leave it with his friend next time I was in town.

Instead I dragged it on concrete and handed it off to a guy coworker of mine who was coincidentally going to be visiting my ex's college campus soon.  I had my coworker deliver the 7 iron to the bar my ex worked at on campus, the ex wasn't there when he delivered, so it was left for him with someone he worked with.  Therefore, he didn't know who brought it there and it was all scratched up.  I felt funny and really stupid and immature afterwards, I should have just handed it off to his friend and let bygones be bygones.

Anyway, my advice is just give it back to him because as I always say, HE WHO CARES LEAST WINS.

Keep it. I am still kicking myself for trying to be nice to my ex. He didn't appreciate it at all. And god I wish I had some of that stuff back, or some of the cash...
