I think aerosole shoes are comfy. It is a hit or miss on their styles though.

You can buy pads that slip into shoes for extra support. I do this lot. I usually buy mine at Target, but most drug stores carry them.

I have alot to say on this subject!

I don't think flats are the problem per se - you can have very supportive flats and very unsupportive heels. I think the important thing is for the sole of the shoe to have some structure to it; something more than just a plain flat piece of rubber/plastic/leather, etc.

Kenneth Cole REACTION is a reasonably priced one. I have a pair of patent ballet flats from this brand that are just as comfy as sneakers.

Gentle Souls are nice as well - seriously the softest leather I've ever felt. Little pricier though.

Cole Haan's 'Air' series is nice, but pricier as well.

Soft is good too.

Sudini shoes are really nice - usually have some padding and construction to them, they've got some uglies mixed in though!

Taryn Rose makes some of the comfiest shoes I've ever tried. Slim pickin's right now it looks like, but I've seen some really nice strappy sandals and stuff from her in the past. Might be good for a pair of flats ...

Camper's shoes all have rubber soles and I find the shape of their wedges to be very comfortable for long stretches.

That's all I can think of for now! I'll update if I think of any others ....

Woo! Thanks for all the recommendations, elle! I checked them out and there are definitely some non-dorky options. smile My shoes right now are definitely of the flat piece of rubber/plastic sole variety. It'll be nice to have some comfy, structured shoes for once!
