hi all - i bought a raincoat the other day - this one is by burberry and i actually really like it but i want to make sure it looks okay so that i can justify the price.  i'm hoping it will be a clasic and timeless addition to my wardrobe.  i've been looking for a raincoat for a very long time and have not found one that i like until now.  this one can also be used as a (nonfrumpy) windbreaker, which i will need living overseas. 

the pictures are actually not very good, i think it looks better irl but wanted to get opinions on it anyway.  i'm a bit hesitant only b/c the size is larger than my normal size, but they were sold out at nordies everywhere after going on sale, so i had to get this one if i was going to get it at all.  the waist is cinched in so i don't think it's a problem but wanted to get a second opinion.

thoughts?

I love it! I don't think it looks too big on you either... the cinch at the waist give it some shape.

Looks good! Maybe having it a little larger will allow you to wear bulkier items underneath.

great, thanks girls!  i love it too but still wanted to get opinions due to the size (and the cost - still more than i normally spend even though it was on sale).  hopefully i'll wear it a long time.

Ditto.  And the fact that it has a drawstring waist still gives you some shape even if you wear a sweater underneath.  I think it looks great!

I like it on you! I usually buy my coats a little larger than my normal size so i can wear heavier items underneath.
