I just need your help on guiding me to which clothes I should seek for myself. I'm soon 25 and anything I wear (even in blazers or business clothes), I look like I m in my senior year in high school, but I m senior in college! I study politics and would like to wear nice stuff with jeans but not too boring business stuff. I like to be funky as well.  HELP!

If you still look like you are in high school wearing suits and blazers, then the clothes might not be your problem so much as your hair and make up.  Perhaps you just look really young.  Do you wear make up?  If not, try wearing make up; it usually helps you look older.  If you already wear make up evaluate what you are wearing and get rid of anything sparkly or too colorful.  For day wear you should pretty much stick to neutrals, especially in a professional environment.  Also check your hair.  Go with a different style; if it's really long, maybe cut it shoulder length with lots of layers.  I don't know; I'm just throwing stuff at you.

Maybe you could post some pictures of outfits you normally wear and we could help you work with what you have to make it look more mature. (If no photos, maybe just post pics from the net.)

Where are you shopping? Sometimes where you shop makes a difference in how young you look.  Are the clothes fitting you right? The cut may be too young for you or the clothes may be too big and causing you too look "off".   Maybe its the material in the clothes if you feel like there is something off in it or you just aren't use to seeing yourself in anything besides jeans and a tee.  I am still trying to get use to seeing myself in real clothes.

I also suggest looking into your hair style.  Hair can make all the difference in the world.  I'll have to see about posting a pre-haircut photo from before I got this haircut.  With this new one I can make myself look my age or younger when I want.  Its really easy and most the time I just have to sleep on it damp but part it properly and when I wake up I don't have to do anything with it because its perfect.

Here is me trying to rock a blazer (I mainly posted for the hair style):wednesday.jpg  v-daydinner.jpg (hairstyle pic again to feel my age)thurs.jpg (hair when I want to feel young - same cut just fixing it differently - ignore the bare feet)

Hmm.. Yes I do look real young. I have natural loose curly waist length hair. just that I dont want to cut it shorter cuz it s hard to manage those curls! ha. I tend to shop Nordstrom, BR,Gap, ON, Vintage stores, UO, or anywhere I would just go in and explore. I am more of a bargain buyer. I just buy what I fall in love with but it is just that everything still makes me look young.  how do you make yourself look your age? I dont really use make-ups. I m very athletic so use make ups on the fields? I d prefer not.  so anything u say would help me lots! I m very open to anything!

Hmm you could try makeup for when you're not on the fields.  I love stila products and they make a great tinted moisturizer.  Are you near a sephora? They could give you a look or two to try out and their eyeshadows and stuff aren't that expensive to get while you experiment and figure out how you want to look.

I have no experience with curly hair so I can't advise you on a cut/style.  Do you use styling products? (I don't so I can't recommend any but maybe there is one to keep curly hair nice and clean looking if that's a problem)
