I have a few friends who swear by Ponds Original for removing face makeup, but I like baby wipes for the face & L'Oreal's Plenitude Eye Makeup Remover.

I love the Almay eye makeup remover pads.  They're great.  For my face I just use Cetaphil.

I agree the Almay non-oily eye makeup remover pads are the best. They take off all my makeup with one pad and leave no oily-ness behind.

I just finished my pack of Comodynes towlettes. They smell so good and get everything off, including waterproof eyeliner. Unfortunately they don't sell them in TX. I was just going to go online and look for some when I saw this post. Super cheap, too!

Don't laugh at me.

I use Johnson baby lotion (the one in the pink bottle) as I'd use Pond's: I put it on my face and remove with a towel. It is lighter than the pond's and does a good job. The smell is pretty strong, but I like it, besides I think they also make a non scented one now.

Do you wash it off or just wipe it off with a cotton pad? Also, do you wet your face before or start dry?

As you can tell, I'm not laughing.

No, I don't wet my face. I find that the lotion leaves the skin very soft afterwards, so I don't rinse.

If I really feel I have to do something after, I just use toner (I use rose water, actually)

I'm looking for a very simple routine and I love, love, love the Shiseido cleanser that's a lotion you don't have to rinse off. But I'm trying to save the $$$, so cheaper is better.

Just to clarify, is this your skincare routine for the evening?

1. rub lotion on face and remove with a cotton pad - no water
2. sometimes apply toner/rose water
3. apply whatever creams/wrinkle control/lotions/etc.

This sounds perfect for me but I just want to make sure I'm getting it right!

Yes, you understood it perfectly.

And now that it's not cold anymore and my skin doesn't feel dry, I don't even go for step 3. I do that only when I feel like my skin is tight.
