I found a solution...

I may be late to the party, but...

Today I was getting ready and I decided to put a belt around my waist. I noticed that the excess belt just flopped all over the place and did not look right. I thought about what I can use to keep it in place. So I grabbed some foam adhesive squares and placed one by the end of the belt. It worked perfectly.

This is what they look like:

They're near the book scrapping aisle at Wal-Mart.

I usually end up making a loop with similar colored thread. Your solution is so much easier!
