HEHEHE!!! I finally told that beyatch of a boss to stick it and put my two weeks in. The final straw was that I ended up in the ER on Saturday morning b/c I was so stressed, fatigued and depressed b/c of her. She called called me insanely on Saturday and told me that I should work a 15 hour day and bitched me out for not coming in (the store was covered, I didn't need to be there). That just sent me over the edge.
She was in the store today and she basically was going through all these things, telling me how awful I am (none of which are true). So, I said to her, "Before you go any farther, is there anything that actually do right?" Her response: "I think that you *could* do things right." So, I pulled out my resignation letter and told her to just stop b/c I'm putting in my two weeks. I also told her that I'm better, smarter, more talented and creative than this job will ever let me be. I'm better than this job. I've never had a boss who degraded and belittled me the way she does and that I don't need that kind of aggravation in my life. And then I called Human Resources and filed a complaint.
HEHE! I have no idea what the hell I'm going to do now, but at least I'm free from those demons!
You are so brave to do that! I'm sure you'll land something that will let you shine for who you are. No job is ever worth getting so worked up you end up in the ER. Did she freak when you gave your notice?

AWESOME MOVE! I am so proud. You'll find a new job easily- even if you do not want to be in retail anymore, you can always find a job there if you ever need something to tide you over financially.
I am so glad to read this NylaBelle! I have been reading your saga with your horrible boss and I want you to know I am proud of you, I am also happy you told her how you felt about her. They always say 'dont burn your bridges' but I think this is one bridge in need of torchin'. Congratulation, freedom!! Yahoo. Take a couple of days to relax!!
do u have to fulfill ur two weeks or did she let u leave? it would just suck to have to spend the next 2 weeks there knowing u already quit... but either way, congrats!!
Congratulations! I'm soooo happy to hear this. I think that now that you are rid of the negative energy created by your job, you will find a job much quicker.
that's great. i read a post the other day that was titled "i quit" and i was secretly hoping it was you because you sounded sooooooooo miserable at your current job! everything is going to work out for the best!
p.s. i think you were too nice on that woman!
