Help - Quick!!!

Okay, we've decided to head to the Ky Oaks tomorrow.  (Big Horse Race).  I need something to wear and some comfortable shoes because with no seat, we'll be standing all day. 70 degrees.  Not much near me to choose from.  AE, GAP, JCPENNEY, OLD NAVY, TJMAXX (HAT!)

HELP!!

I'd hit up JCPenneys and find some comfy metallic flip-flops, with maybe a little bit of a heel.

I went to the mall last night and those beaded slippers with a bit of a heel were everywhere. Those look pretty comfy, too.

These look pretty comfy from JCP's but not the most stylish options.

Old Navy:

Pretty fancy event.  If anyone knows anything about horse racing the Kentucky Derby is the biggest race in the country and the Oaks is the "ladies" race the day before.  I do need to be a little dressed up.

I think this skirt from Gap is adorable maybe you could build and outfit around it?

That's what I suspected - thought I'd clarify before I posted a bunch of tee/capri outfits!

TJ Maxx here has had some cute sundresses lately!  Check there, and I would definitely wear flats or wedges--you'll be in the grass, right?  Take a pic of whatever you wear, and drink a mint julep for me!

Okay, to make it as simple as possible.   I thought I could wear this top and my brown pants that are just like the black ones shown.  Then maybe a hat simular to this with shoes (wedges) to match (if I can find them, which I think a local dept. store had some) and find a cute clutch with the turquoise and chocolate color.  This would be less stressfull and easier to pull together since I've only got about 45 min. after work to shop before a meeting tonight.  What do you think?

I think that shirt will be fine, but I'd pair it with a skirt.  And definately wedges and a straw hat.

I like that shirt a lot, but I agree with FP, wear it with a skirt.

I'm from Kentucky, and you look great, very stylish, but I second the skirt - anything the others posted would be adorable - particularly the colorful outfits - Would that top work with the red print skirt? I love turquoise and red, and the brown shoes and hat would tone it down a little...

Oh, and have fun sweetie! Oaks is so much fun!
