OMG....i thought this thread was going to be about something completely different!!!  when i read "my husband is coming out..." i was thinking "out of the closet"!!!  i was like, whoaaaaaaaaaa.  i think i am just going nuts entertaining my bf's parents!!!

as for the party, that's insane.  weddings are so freaking expensive as it is:

shower gift

engagement gift (sometimes)

wedding gift

dress, shoes, tux, etc...

and 1200 + for bachelor party??

things are getting ridiculous.  i might elope (which is so not my style).

LOL! too funny!

isn't it ridiculous(sp?)?

well I just talked to him about it again and he's not going. We both agreed its just too much money for just a bachlor party of 4 nights. I told him that with that money him and I can take off somewhere instead. If he were to go it would be spending money on food and drinks too, just too much for a bachlor party........I know the guys are going to give him a hard time, but I dont give a shit!

good to know.  that's a lot of money and i think i would be pissed if my bf spent it on that....it's good that you allowed him to make the decision...it's such a fine line between being the gf who's like "yeah, go out and have fun with the boys" and "hey, that's a lot of money, it could be better spent somewhere else"...it's hard not to be "THAT gf"....i think going away the two of you is money better spent!

My bf's friend had three batchelor parties at home and one in Vegas. Ask me how pleased I was that my bf got completely trashed at ALL of them. Bachelor parties are a ridiculous excuse for boys to act stupid, IMO. I know some guy friends who have had "divorce worthy" bachelor parties. It just gets out of hand.

Who are the crazy brides that are saying "sure honey it's ok if you go to vegas and do who knows what with some strippers and all your drunk friends and spend $1,200"????? Who is brainwashing these girls??? I just nicely said to my darling hubby" NO F&*$(#% STRIPPERS!!!!" He got it.
I have heard some stories about some bachelor parties from friends that I would definatly divorce over! Who is putting up with this and then saying "Yep, this is the man of my dreams, can't wait to marry him"?? I don't care if it's his last "single night" if he acts like that at this type of party, something tells me thats a warning bell. Thank god for my hubby stearing clear of the "pervert parties" I thank my lucky stars!!
