which shoes to wear with this dress?

i got this dress for a party this weekend in black:

Also, my dress has a silver chain for the neck, not a longer ribbon as shown. it's a little longer on me, but not much.

i'm torn between these shoes:

I like the first pair best. the second pair remind of of the cheap elastic strap shoes...

I like the first pair as well. But is the buckle and heel gold? I dont know if that would make a difference since the dress has a silver chain?

I like the first shoe a lot! I'm not a fan of the straps on the second shoe (or the zipper.)

I don't have a problem with mixing metals in general (I think when done right it can look very modern.) I think you'll be fine with a gold touch on the shoes and a silver chain on the dress. But that's just me.

I will break from the majority and go with #2. The first seem more casual than the dress calls for, almost like a high-heeled moccasin.

Also I like combining the zipper and the chain details. Plus I confess the gold/silver issue throws me.

so glad the majority was for the first pair, as i liked them much better as well! i wore the outfit last night and loved it! the shoes are comfortable, too!
