Platform Beds?
Permalink Closed

Hi!  I'm pretty new to this site but found you guys all to be so friendly and helpful and really know where to get what!

Was hoping for some help. I want to get a platform type bed for my very very low budget.  Was wondering if anyone knew where I could get something like this for less.  I'm into more modern, contemporary, east-meets-west type style I guess.\

  From West Elm $499.  Yikes!

 Cool morrocan headboard)

Does anyone know somewhere similar like West elm?  I also love Z. Gallerie type stuff.  Thanks a bunch!

Vivian

Ikea had tons like that for pretty cheap!

edit: OK, I swear they had more than this in the store, but this one is $20. Basically just a wooden palet though.

Thanks Lmonet for all those links. I think I have seen most of those and either not my style or too expensive.  I may just make a diagram of the first one I like form West Elm and see if someone can make it for me.  I have been to Ikea, but I guess my taste is too expensive for my wallet, since I want a nice wood and not some MDF or pre-fab stuff, although the Walmart one was such a bargain!

BTW, what is Denmarket?  do they have physical stores?

Thanks!

hey! i was just checking around on craigslist for something else and found a really nice pottery barn platform bed that someone is selling.  it's a dark chocolate brown color and looked very nice in the photos--i think they only wanted like $400 or $500 for it.  anyway, i see that you are in the OC, so you would be able to pick it up from them.  do a search in the los angeles "furniture" secrion for "ppottery barn bed" and you should find it.
