Black or Color??
Permalink Closed

Bought this outfit at The Limited this weekend.  It's much cuter in person! Colors work really well with my hair color.  My question is would you pair a colored "mustard" shoe with it or stick with black?? I don't want to "over do" the outfit with too much color.  I had thought about getting these yellow shoes for awhile, they're something different and look like a "fun" summer shoe.  But I've also been waiting for a sale, as I don't wanna pay $150 for them.
Opinions??

Try a colored shoe with them...

I really like the yellow with it. It lightens the look a little.

I think the black is more chic.

I agree with Blink! get the yellow, and still wear with black, switch it up.

I think both would work. I would go for the black, just because that is me. But the yellow is fun!

The yellow is fun, it looks chic and not too overdone. However, I wouldn't break my neck to pay $150 on shoes simply to match the 1 outfit.

I think the yellow is great, since the shorts are black and so's the background of the shirt I don't think it's too much. I also think you'd find that yellow shoes would be really versatile, they'd look great with navy, bright green, orange, khaki, brown.... I'm picturing them with a nvy shirtdress, or a white eyelet skirt and green shirt.

I think both will work with this outfit. I personally prefer mustard in this shoe style, looks more fun & stylish, then in patent black. I also don't suggest to buy shoes that go with 1 outfit only, but this mustard MK look very neutral, I'm sure you'll be able to wear them with other outfits as well, if you decide on this color ultimately.

I think you could go either way with that shirt. I love the yellow, but I also think you could do orange as well and pull out that color from the shirt.

if it was a dress (which i thought at first), i'd say black, but it's a top so i'd go with the yellow/mustard. the outfit that you posted is perfect, and you can always substitute with black shoes if you want to be more understated.
