cute trouser jeans...

i would like to find a pair of fairly-loose fitting trouser-style jeans for the summer, in a medium wash.  anyone bought/seen anything good? up to $200 or so.  thanks!

thanks, ladies.  i'm kinda digging these from j.crew.  anyone tried them on and have opinion anout fit? they are $88.

i have those on right now! i think they are a great buy for $88. they fit really well (compared to most other j.crew jeans which are ill-fitting on me). the only think i didn't like about them was the way the back pockets bulged out. i ended up sewing them shut and cutting out all of the pocket bulk from the inside and now they're pretty perfect.

cool! would you say that they fit true to size, or bigger like BR pants? j. crew is tough t order online because they change their sizing so frequently.

bumblebee - also check eBay for Capital Tailors trouser-jeans. I've seen a few really nice pairs on there going for under $50.

oh boy, here's my long winded answer... i've always ordered P0 at j.crew, but on a whim i tried these in a regular length 2 in the store. they ended up fitting perfectly. i think the P0 would have fit as well, just a bit tighter in the thighs and i liked the looser fit of the 2's, plus they hemmed them for free. i'd say they fit more like other j. crew trousers than other j.crew jeans. i don't really shop at br so i cannot make a comparison to the fit there.

maybe someone else has these and can offer a bit more concrete answer, since i didn't end up buying my traditional size.

ok, so that seems to back up what the salesperson told me in j.crew last time i was in there buying pants--that they are now cutting them about a full size smaller than they used to (ie. back to true sizing as opposed to the vanity sizing that they used to do and BR still does).

I just ordered these- my sister has them and they are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy nicer in person.  I am a size 4 and the 5/6 should work.  They are slightly darker/more blue in person and fit really well for $44 jeans.  Plus they are really soft.  Trust me, I am a jeans snob and I like these.  They might be lighter than you want, but I really recommend them because they are such a deal.
