i make a tofu stir fry...it's pretty easy, i just put some garlic, oil, green onion, salt pepper, some soy sauce, sesame oil and seeds in a pan and stir fry it. then i eat it over rice. hope that helps!
I tried this last Sun. I pressed a block of firm tofu between 2 plates, with a weight on top, to drain the water. I cut it in cubes and marinated for about 1 hour in dijon mustard and lime juice, then I baked at 350F for 30 min. I use it in salads.
I modified a recipe that Lisa posted some days ago
I think you can use anything acid in the marinade (vinegar or something that contains vinegar or citrus juice).
I make a good sesame tofu salad, it's great for spring and summer meals outside. I don't have the exact recipe memorized, but pretty much it's a salad of iceberg lettuce cut into long thin strips, some radicchio torn into chunks, chopped green onion, thin strips of yellow bell pepper (though any color works), and some pine nuts. I cut the tofu into thin rectangles, coat on both sides with sesame seeds and fry it for a minute or two (though if you don't want to fry, it might work on low in the toaster oven). Once cooled, put the tofu on the salad. I make the dressing in the mini prep and usually eyeball the measurements depending on how big the salad is. Some olive oil (usu. less than 1/4 cup but I like more vinegar than oil in dressing), some white wine vinegar, about 6 sprigs of cilantro, some chopped up ginger root, and a few pine nuts, depending on how much dressing I want to make, season w/ salt and pepper.
