Black suit, any ideas to go with?

Hey everyone,


I just bought a new black suit from Express for (what I'm hoping) are a string of interviews. I want to add color to it and make it look young and fresh and not like I'm going to a funeral. I don't want anything underneath that is too low cut since it wouldn't be very professional.


Any suggestions?

I would wear a button down (with french cuffs, personally).  For my interviews today, I wore a black Tahari suit, blue/black/white window pane plaid french cuff shirt w/opal cufflinks and my Manolo pumps.  pearl necklace, diamond studs, gold watch, wedding set.You know where my interviews were, so hose was mandatory (very sheer nude - you can hardly tell I'm wearing it).


If I were you, I would hit TJ's tonight and see if they have a button down - I've found several there that have cool colors - I would punch your suit up with that.  For the position you are going for, I would try to be as professional as possible, but it's ok to add color with your blouse.

I have a great peachy, pinky stretch button down shirt that I was thinking of wearing but can I also wear that color shoe? Remember my BCBG Girls black to pinky/peach pump that I wore when we went out? Would that go or should I wear a black shoe.


I've also thought about wearing that very cool purpley-blue that people wear with black. Sound ok?

uh - love those shoes, but not for an interview - go with black closed toe pumps.


I think either blouse sounds great! I like the purply blue with the black suit idea - blue and black were in a lot of the collections for fall - and I wore azure blue and black myself today.


you can wear your fun shoes and clothes when you get the job!

I bought a new crazy top for tomorrow, similar yet different from that one top. hahahah...

I can't wait either! we need that same table... I'd like to get there closer to the 8 side - screw going someplace else before hand IMO

Yeah, I thought the same thing. I WANT that table.


Maybe I can meet you at your place and we can drive down together (I could follow you down there if you want to drive seperately)and Les can meet up with us if she can't make it at 8pm. I just want to really get that table. If not that one, at least one that's just as prominent. Heehee...
