I have tattoos on my lower back, one of which that I don't really care for anymore. I got it when I was 18 without really thinking about it and its much too "tramp stamp" for me now. Its the sun-type symbol which sits right in the middle of my lower back.
The koi fish (on the left) I've had for 2 years and love it so I want to incorporate it and cover the sun with a larger aquatic themed tattoo. My regular tattoo artist is an expert at old tattoo coverage but I'd like to have some ideas in mind before I go to him. It would most likely cover my waist to the other side, equal on the right to where the koi sits on my left.
Does anybody have ideas for things to include? Pics are much appreciated too. I was thinking of japanese-style water waves, some shells? maybe a seahorse? another koi?
I agree that lotus/waves would work. I've also seen koi pieces with cherry blossoms and peonies. Maybe add water around and to the side of the koi, with another koi on the opposite side?
