My MIL gave me a pair of size 6 jeans. They fit great everywhere, but are a little snug around the waist. Actually a little lose around the butt and thigh area, but I really love the color and style.

So does anyone know?

Hi! the answer to your ?, is not usually. Depending on the fabric, & the closure (i.e. button, zipper...) a good tailor may be able to descretly add some fabric or elastic, to give you a bit more room. HTH

with jeans, probably not. The best you might be able to do is stretch the waist while the jeans are still wet to give you a bit of room, but that is temporary. HTH
