Other Infant Carrier options....
Permalink Closed

Karina's post got me wondering about those backpack and front carrier thingys for babies. Does anyone use them?? Also there is something called a sling which looks very interesting. I have seen it being used. Looks comfy for the baby. A woman I know was raving about them. She said it was the best thing ever. Any opinions on these options?

I second the vote.  The Baby Bjorn can be a godsend if your baby is clingy, fussy or colicky.

I tried the sling but it just did not work for me.  My son was maybe to active?  I don't know.  I'm also very slim, and found the sling dug into me far worse than the carrier.

I my Bjorn.  Both my girls loved being in it.  They'd sleep in it half the time.  They were a lifesaver for me.  W/ Sophia, my youngest, I got the Bjorn w/ the extra long straps.  Good for tall people.  I fit into the regular Bjorn, but got the XL straps hoping my husband would carry her in it too.  Nope, he'd look "gay".  So silly.  He likes the backpack.  I forget who makes it, but backpacks are nice for dads who don't want to look "gay".

I love my Wise Woman Sling. I have a one month old and it never fails that he falls asleep whenever he's in it.

The Baby Wearer and Peppermint.com are two great sites to learn more about baby carriers. :)
