delman shoes?
Permalink Closed

i need a pair of light beige shoes and have been very very picky about finding the "right" pair...

i found these one bluefly but i know little about delmans and have never tried their shoes... can anyone offer advice?  or if you know of any other great pale beige/tan shoes could you post them????

tia!

edit: now that i look at them again- the heel height isn't enough for me.  i need 3" and these are only 2 1/2"

Delman shoes are super-nice and they seem to be good quality from what I've seen of them, but IMO they run narrow. The pair you picked is super-conservative, but really nice.

I wanted a pair pf their ballet flats for so long and then when some appeared at Loehmann's I tried them on...my fat farmer feet are too wide for them.

i need a pair of plain light beige/tan heels for work... i also need a new pair of black ones too... but that is for another post.  i was going to bite the bullet and buy a pair of choos or manolos because i would be wearing them pratically everyday but then i wasn't sure choos or manolos were made for that type of wear... i don't know!  i don't know what to do... i hate buying pratical shoes... i seem to spend so much time worrying about it...

delmans are great quality. i bought a bunch at a sample sale last year. they definitely are perfect for work or other boring needs. i say they run tts and the flats are kinda narrow (as most flats are) but those pumps look like they would be fine.

too funny LMonet!

i like these but the color isn't pale enough for me...  but that is the style i am wanting... with a 3" heel... i have been stalking Aldo since last fall but all they keep coming out with are more tan than a pale light tan/beige shade...

i am so super picky with the shade on these shoes...

Thank ya, thank ya very much !

FWIW, I find Aldo's shoes terribly uncomfortable - every pair I've tried on have been really stiff and cut so they dig into strange parts of the foot.  Anyway, I'll see what I can find in a paler shade, and in something 'plain'.

LMonet... i love these but they don't come in the fawn color i am looking for...

which are the same style as these which come in the fawn color:

i really feel that Manolo and Choo make the best sexy work pump out there- but i am afraid to spend $500 on a pair of work shoes that i am constantly running around in... but because of the price- does the quality stand up better that the $80 pair of black pumps i am wearing now and they only last 3 years?

Word.  I think spendy shoes are better quality up to a point, but sooner or later you are going to wear out a pair of shoes if you wear them everyday, especially if you're walking outside alot.  If you do get an expensive pair, I would have a cobbler put a rubber on the sole to help with the longevity and wear something else on days you know you'll be doing a considerable amount of outdoor-walking.  Maybe something higher-end that's a little more budget friendly?  Or a designer pair w/a discount?

yeah, getting a pair in the middle of the price range sounds like a good idea to me. I don't know about you, but I find that my taste has gone through so many shifts that the shoes I bought three years ago are sitting at the bottom of my closet, because I like all the stuff I've bought more recently so much better! So if that does happen, better to have spent $200 on them than $500.
