Well I have no BF, lol, so that's out!  The problem is that it's a college town in the middle of Iowa.  My city is now cleared from students for the summer too.  There's just nowhere here that people dress like that, so I would be very uncomfortable going out in it.  I also have issues with my boobs, in that I'm not comfortable with them being as big as they are, so this dress is just a lot of display for them.

As far as returning it, I ordered 2 sizes, since I didn't know which one would work, so I already have to mail back one anyways.  I'll be paying for return shipping no matter what.

If I lived in a different city (like Vegas or somewhere in Florida, etc.), then I might feel a bit different, and not feel so out of place in it.

 

Boo!  I hear ya, I lived in Missouri for a bit where Express was considered avant garde.  I'm in NYC so I'd rock that sexy dress going to the bodega just for the cat calls.

Good luck with your other dress!  Hopefully it will be a better match for you.

Agreed, I've made that mistake one too many times.  If you feel that way about it now, it will probably just take up space in your closet and then make you feel guilty whenever you see it and even more so when you finally decide to get rid of it, unworn.  i've learned that even if something may look awesome on - if i feel even the slightest bit unsure about it, i'll never wear it.

Thank you so much for your help ladies! You are completely right in that I'll just feel guilty if I keep it and never wear it, so it is definitely going back!

Boots, that's cool! Des Moines is a decent city, for Iowa anyways, lol smile.gif But yep, this dress just does not fit in here!

I do love the color of it, but there is definitely still hope for the Bluefly one, so I'm really hoping that works out

I think it fits you great!! For the price you could have a tailer cut it off and make a "longer" top out of it to wear with jeans. Just looking for options!! I agree though, if you don't feel comfortable - send it back!!

Well, I guess you have to return it, indeed. Let me start by saying that you have GREAT legs & excellent proportional curves! However, I think that this dress doesn't look great on you ( I know I'm in minority here on this post), I think you need a softer fabric on your body & you're not blind as well: by the way: cudos for courage & a great sense of humor to post yourself in the dress! wink

Regarding those who wrote it was sexy & they'd go out like that: when I see such a vision in public I usually wonder if the the lady has a mirror at home & ifshe know how to use it....:)disbelief
