I don't think I'd do blue unless it's a really good match. What about yellow?

Is she definite on blue for the shoes?

I love that color of blue with bright, grass green and with red.

I would have gone for color too, but the school colors are blue and white, which is what she's going for.  Not sure how she would feel about a contrasting bright. I think a skin-tone color would look good too. She's kind of a tomboy, and heels are not what she normally wears...

Now that I look at the dress on AE, I don't like any of the ones I recommended. I'd go more casual with that dress.

And maybe add a denim jacket, roll the cuffs, and add a bunch of bracelets.

These are from Target and not difficult to walk in for a girl getting used to the idea of heels.

41GG7eoOAbL._AA260_.jpg $21.99

51%2BcXp%2BzE6L._AA260_.jpg$19.99

4172zxs2-nL._AA260_.jpg$21.99  I'm not loving the dark heel on this, but it does have some blue in it which I thought she might like.

I'd probably do something similar to Miss Mable but with flat sandals like these:

Is there a reason she wants to do heels?  I think flats would be just as cute and maybe more natural for her...

I agree with ejc about flats- unless she is truly set on heels- perhaps she'll be more likely to wear them again?

$7.99 (silver) (gold)

$19.99$29.50 (white, also in gold)

$38$19.50

$19.50$19.50
$19.50

I'd go with a nude sandal that blends in with the legs and doesn't distract from the dress.  Second choice - I'd go gold
