What to wear to a 8th grade graduation party?

I'm at a loss here...It's at the graduates home, and I'm assuming it's pretty casual.  I want to still look pulled together, and cute.  This is family we don't see to often, and everyones pretty laid back.  I'm sure there will be jean shorts there type of casual, so I don't want to dress it up too much.  Why do these things alway trow me?!

Sundress and kitten-heeled sandals?

Bermudas, wedge espadrilles, and flowy print top?

White linen wide-leg slacks, cute flips, fitted tank?

Most of my friends are like this too. Personally I'd do a cute cotton skirt (maybe in a bright color) and a t-shirt. If it's cool out I'd wear nice jeans and a cute top.

I am thinking something like a short sleeve top or sleeveless top or tank top with a denim skirt and some gladiator sandals or metallic or beaded flip-flops. Bermuda shorts would be a good option too if they work for you.
