Stella M/Euro shoe sizing - HELP!

OK, I need help with European shoe sizing. I am looking at a pair of Stella McCartney espadrilles. The SA swears I need a size Italian 38 - even though I told her I am a US size 8.5 and my feet are on the wider side. I called a different boutique and got the same story.


This isn't right, tho', is it? Does anyone have any Stella M or Italian sized shoes and can you tell me how they compare to US sizes? Argh.

Italian shoes are freakin tiny! No experience with Stella's, but Louboutins and shoes I bought in Italy, I had to get a 39. (I'm same as you - 8.5) Size up.
