STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

Ladies,

I am leaving for New York on Sunday morning and I would like your help in packing. I have never been to the city and want to look sleek (meeting with Tribeca film people) and stylishly comfortable (walking around the city, going to museums, etc). I heard it is going to be a little chilly there, so it's going to be odd for me going from little clothes (I live in Arizona) to bundling up. I need a weeks worth of clothes- any outfit suggestions? Any "must have" items? I am bringing my Elie Tahari blue and white check coat (which I have never worn and am so excited to) and a patchwork jacket made from vintage cloth. Other than that, I don't know how in the hell to dress there (I want to look pulled together because I am hanging around celebs). Thank you... Oh, and if you have any ideas for places I have to see and things I have to do, let me know. Any cool thrift/vintage shops I can hit up while I am there?
