so i'm quitting my job in a few weeks (woohoo) and with it goes my insurance.  my fiance's insurance doesn't start until the fall, so in the meantime, i need to sign up for something.  anyone had any luck with any particular company for this in the past?  i can continue my current insurance for $316 a month - ouch.  i did a little searching and found that i can get insurance through my alumni association for around $125 a month, but just want to do some comparison shopping first.

$125 sounds like a pretty sweet deal - sorry I don't have anything else in the way of comparisons.  I guess I would just say DON'T go with Premera - they blow.

Some states have 'Significant Other' clauses, so people who aren't married but living together can be covered on each other's insurances.  I'm not sure if Tennessee has one though . . .

I had health insurance from these people for about 6 months. They were the least expensive I could find and I don't recall having any problems with them. Of course I didn't have any serious illnesses at the time either, so definitely see if they offer what you need.

If I remember correctly it was about $100/month or less.
