3 part question! TIA~
Permalink Closed

Ok I am in a wedding in July where I get to choose my own dress, well I just won this beautiful Kathlin Argiro dress on ebay for $40! A $250 dress!
Ok so I am going to change the black bow and replace it with either kelly green, lime green, ivory, or the same color pink as the dress. What do y'all think...

Question #2: I have this bag and the pink matches perfect so I thought I could finally use it. But if I pick this kelly green as my new sash is it too much then? If so I would love suggestions on a bag.

Question #3: What shoes? I have these gold shoes, but are they too much? I am a bridesmaid so I don't want to be too glitzy... suggestions?

The only detail I am positive on is these are the earrings that I am wearing because they are one of our gifts!

Thank you so much! I know I have been beating this wedding to death, but I love the bride and want to look great for her and for me too!

If you are using that bag- please don't make the bow green.  I think a baby pink grosgrain, baby blue (though maybe not with that bag), an ivory, or the same pink might all be pretty.  I'm stumped on the shoes.  I have these shoes in teal and I highly recommend them, highly.  They are selling out fast, but they could be cute in gold, coral (pale peachy tan), or white with the dress.  They are nice because they're comfy and not too heavy looking so perfect for summer dresses.  I want a few more pairs in other colors, hehe.

i say ivory bow, the earrings, and the gold shoes.

i'd keep the bag at home and just wear it w/ jeans and a cute top.

also, lynnie's shoes are adorable, if you're not gonna wear yours, get hers.

I like the idea of an ivory bow. I think if you used a thicker ribbon it would look really pretty too.

I like the earrings and I think the shoes are awesome.

The purse, however, seems a little too casual. I don't know if you want to buy anything new, but I found some cute evening bags for ideas. I really like the idea of a pearl or gold clutch.

***These may be a little too gaudy for you, but I thought they were festive and you can remove the tacky strap.

I don't really know your style, but I would be wanting to make everything a little funkier, even if it IS a wedding. I would say the dress with same color pink ribbon, the purse (LOVE THAT beyond all belief) and the gold shoes with some bold-ish gold jewelry (nothing over the top, of course). Please, please carry the purse and wear gold shoes. The only thing I'm not loving is, of course, the only thing you're sure of: the earrings. They seem too demure for the hot pink?

I don't think this helps ... Sorry!

Edit: Oh, and did you get that bag anywhere where I could get my hands on it?

Clarifications: First off thank you so much to everyone letting me drive them nuts with this!

The dress is silk faille, which is like slightly ribbed silk fabric, not shiny though. Dressier than your average summer dress. I photo shopped it so I know it is really hard to tell. This is another pic of what the fabric looks like.

The purse is also silk, it is very dressy but appears more casual through here. Stein Mart.

I don't get to choose my accessories, the earrings are a gift to wear in the wedding.

I love everyone's ideas, although the Steve Madden shoes are not dressy enough to wear with this dress, but very cute for a summery dress.

How do these scenarios sound: Pick One: Tia!

Green Bow- Gold Shoes, and purse similiar to this:

Ivory Bow- Champagne Shoes? Or stick with Gold?

Same Color Bow as dress- Gold shoes,

Thank thank thank you! To everyone!

I'd do ivory bow, your green/pink clutch, and champagne-ish shoes.
